A common problem which I think is based on wanting to catch things early so if needed intervention can be utilized to correct something which may be an issue. Unfortunately, this often becomes a focus only on what a child can’t do not what they can, and it also neglects the idea that while most children may accomplish certain things by a certain age there are also some children who don’t. By today’s standards Einstein and a lot of others who we provided the foundations for many areas of study along with a lot of artists and writers and others in creative pursuits would be considered “on the autism spectrum.”
