Even though it is more than a year later, it is still devastating. I went to a writing group in Newtown Ct. held down the street from Sandy Hook Elementary school. We met Thursday night, the night before the shootings. I could hardly move for a week. I don’t understand why any gun control is threatening to gun owners. It’s like the NRA has some kind of knee jerk reaction that just isn’t reasonable. Most people I think would say that they aren’t anti gun ownership just pro responsible gun ownership. I don’t think a ton of people would say no one has the right to own a gun for self protection. But there needs to be some kind of oversight. It wouldn’t stop all gun violence or accidental shootings. But it would definitely help.
