Falling in Love Makes Your Healthier
Everyone loves to fall in love but new research shows it can be actually healthy for you.
With Valentine’s Day occurring just last month, the focus on love, and how love affects your life continues to be in the spotlight. Anyone who has ever been in love knows the way it makes you feel seems to alter the way we experience literally everything. Winter days don’t seem quite as cold, bosses not quite as demanding, things that once bothered us not so bothersome and demands on our time not so demanding.
We are a walking, talking epitome of every sappy romantic cliche that has ever existed and we no longer find them to be sappy or cliches. Now they are the depth of truth. This is all wonderful of course, and the stuff of gorgeous poetry and ballads, but now research suggests even more benefits of falling in love.
There’s no difficulty understanding that being in love helps our emotional well being and psychological adjustment. Depression, anxiety, hopelessness, pessimism, poor self concept and low self confidence are all bolstered by being in love, especially when also in a serious relationship.
