Ha! I know what you mean, Eric. So many times I have to go through several bouts of editing to be able to convert things like, “In this article, the author states,” or “Research findings indicate,” instead of just saying things in my own voice from my own perspective. Actually presenting my own opinion has often been a trial for me as it just seems wrong to go out on a limb without having research and statistic that back me up. I have had to just close my eyes and hit publish sometimes to prevent myself from just leaving a completed article as a draft until I felt I had reviewed it enough and determined it was okay to put out there. I still have I don’t know how many completed articles in draft I’ve just forgotten about because they don’t feel okay to publish. Thanks for reading and taking the time to comment!
