This sounds more like social anxiety or maybe schizoid or avoidant behavior. Introverts don’t always prefer to avoid people or force themselves to engage in social activities. We enjoy social activities as much as extroverts, just usually in smaller gatherings and for shorter periods of time before we have to go and recharge. But we love being around other people also and aren’t just counting the minutes until we can escape.
