You point about holding onto empty excuses as reasons to validate feeling hurt or upset when you don’t have a logical reason is a good one. Our emotions though frequently don’t make sense because they just are. At the same time trying to determine what exactly triggered negative emotions can go a long way to preventing them ,many times in the future.
